What is MeetingTimer?

MeetingTimer is a free online tool for timeboxing agenda items in live meetings. It helps you manage meeting time by setting countdown timers for each agenda item, ensuring meetings stay on track.

Is MeetingTimer free to use?

Yes, MeetingTimer is completely free to use. No signup, no registration, no credit card required. Just open the website and start using it.

How do I use MeetingTimer?

You can either create custom timers by adding agenda items with titles and durations, or load one of the pre-built templates (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning, Retrospective, 1:1 Meeting, Workshop, or Team Meeting). Click Start to begin the timer. When a timer reaches zero, it automatically advances to and starts the next timer. You can also manually move to the next item using the Next button or N key.

Can I save my meeting agenda?

Yes! You can save your agenda to our server and receive a unique ID. Use this ID to load your agenda later - perfect for recurring meetings. Saved agendas are kept for 1 year. Your data is also automatically saved to your browser's LocalStorage.

Can I share my meeting agenda with others?

There are two ways. Share (view-only) copies a static link others can open to watch your agenda in read-only mode. Go Live creates a real-time session: viewers on a second screen or their own devices follow your countdown as you start, pause and switch items — great for presentations and hybrid meetings.

Can I run a live timer on a second screen or for a presenter?

Yes. Click Go Live to get a share link, then open it on a second screen, the room display, or send it to remote presenters. Everyone sees the same countdown in real time as you control it from your device, and you can flash cue messages like "Wrap up" or "5 min left" onto the presenter's screen. Unlike the view-only Share link (a static snapshot), Go Live stays in sync live.

What keyboard shortcuts are available?

Space: Start/Pause timer, N: Next agenda item (automatically starts the next timer), B: Previous agenda item, R: Reset current timer, F: Toggle fullscreen presentation mode.

Does MeetingTimer work on mobile devices?

Yes, MeetingTimer is fully responsive and works on both desktop and mobile devices. The interface adapts to different screen sizes for optimal usability.
